Douglas Brubaker
I am continually observing my surroundings for interesting and unusual patterns and beautiful natural scenes to inspire my photography. I’ve long discovered that some of the most interesting photos are hidden in places close to home and where you’d least expect. My favorite subjects include sweeping panoramas, waterfalls, wildlife and wild flowers and other natural and man made formations discovered on my travels near and abroad.
I took an interest in taking pictures at a young age often given the moniker of photographer for family events. The passion has continued and to this day you will usually find a camera close by if not at my eye. I have no formal training in art or photography. Most of my skills have been honed by reading photography books and magazines and trial and error. A few years ago after a career as a financial executive I started working as a professional photographer and graphic designer. Working under a Master Photographer has allowed me to further hone my technical and artistic skills.
